Giving birth is perhaps the biggest challenge that a person faces in their lifetime. The philosophy of the cradle arm is rooted in the idea that the post birth period should be a time of relaxation and recovery. Cradle arm allows for the mother to remain close to the newborn as well as physically interact with their child while maintaining physical autonomy.
This device has two modes, the cradle mode allows the baby to rest next to the mother in their own cradle. In the second mode, the user brings the device to their chest and rotates it towards them to aid in breastfeeding. Breastfeeding can be a challenging new skill to learn, and often requires two hands to get the baby to “latch”.
Specifications:
The mattress cover is the first point of contact for the baby’s skin. The cotton cover provides a soft surface for the infant. The cover is easily removeable and machine washable. The foam mattress pad is covered with vegan leather to ensure an easily wipeable surface for sanitation. The cradle is made from curved baltic birch plywood. The clear stain finish is non-toxic and creates a smooth, wipeable surface. The articulating gas spring arm ensures seamless transition between positions. The cradle easily unscrews from the arm for transport. An adjustable clamp attaches to a variety of surfaces.
